Hujung minggu ni, kita masuk ke separuh kedua bulan Syawal tahun ini. Semakin banyak lah open house yang akan diadakan dan perlu di hadiri. Samada jemputan dari saudara mara mahupun dari rakan taulan, kalau boleh mau saja kita hadirkan diri semuanya.
Kepada yang telah sudi menjemput patik, Insya Allah akan patik sampai jua. Tapi kalau tidak sampai, faham-faham saje la ya. Kadang dalam sehari tu, satu jemputan di Rawang, satu di Seremban. Ada yang di Ampang dan ada pula di Kelang. Waze pun kadang-kadang jadi pening so ‘waste my time’..
First sekali yang bermain di kepala patik bila mendapat jemputan open house yang tak putus-putus ni ialah apakah yang patut patik pakai ke majlis-majlis open house ni?
Jalan-jalan raya bertemu saudara mara & rakan taulan. Terserempak Dato’ terlajak laris.
Rule of thumb yang selalu patik gunakan ialah, kiranya jemputan open house itu adalah dari rakan-rakan korporat, perniagaan atau VIP, yang selalunya akan di adakan di hotel-hotel atau pusat konvensyen, maka patik akan berpakaian dan bermake-up agak formal. Maka akan keluarlah baju-baju raya yang lebih glamourdan lebih dramatik.
Kalau pula banyak jemputan untuk hari tu di rumah saudara-mara dan rakan taulan, yang selalunya akan diadakan di kawasan rumah mereka, maka patik akan berpakaian dan bermake-up untuk lebih selesa dan sesuai dengan keadaan.
Yang penting adalah kita menyesuaikan diri dengan tempat dan tuan rumah kita.
Dalam kesibukan kita kunjung mengunjungi open house ni, patik harap kita jangan lupa mengenang kembali performance kita di bulan Ramadhan yang lepas. Bulan Ramadhan adalah bulan di mana kita “Beribadat dan Berbelanja”. Beribadat melalui puasa, solat fardhu, solat terawih, sedekah dan zakat kita. Berbelanja melalui spending kita pada juadah berbuka puasa, baju baru, kasut baru, langsir baru dan sebagainya yang baru.
So kalau ditimbang performance kita, beribadat yang lebih atau berbelanja yang lebih? Renung-renungkanlah. (Patik sedang merenung bulan ni, memikirkan)..
Kalau patik katakan bulan Ramadhan adalah bulan “Beribadat dan Berbelanja”, bulan Syawal pula ialah bulan kita “Memberi dan Merasa”.
Memberi kerana di bulan Syawal inilah kita akan memberi makan kuih-muih, ketupat, lemang, rendang kepada para tetamu yang datang ke rumah kita. Tidak ketinggalan juga memberi duit raya kepada anak-anak, anak-anak buah, anak-anak teman sahabat dan anak-anak siapa jugalah yang ada. Inilah sebenarnya hasil titik peluh perbelanjaan kita sepanjang bulan Ramadhan lalu.
Maka balance la semula ibadat dan perbelanjaan kita di bulan Ramadhan lalu, melalui pemberian kita memberi makan kepada para tetamu dan duit raya kepada anak-anak bagai di bulan Syawal ini. Asalkan, kita niatkan dan ikhlaskan semuanya.
Patik katakan bulan Syawal ini adalah bulan Merasa pula kerana di bulan Syawal inilah kita juga berpeluang merasa berbagai jenis kueh mueh dan hidangan hari raya di rumah-rumah yang kita kunjungi. Dan anak-anak kita pula merasa pemberian duit raya dari tuan rumah. Adil bukan?
Dan satu pesanan patik, latih la anak-anak kita untuk mengucapkan terima kasih dan selamat hari raya kepada tuan rumah yang memberi duit raya tu, dan kalau boleh jangan lah di buka paket duit raya tu di hadapan tuan rumah. Itu namanya Etika Raya.
Membuka sampul raya di hadapan tuan rumah adalah dilarang sama sekali. Dalam kereta okay.
Kita pula, setelah menikmati segala jenis juadah di open house tu, kalau tuan rumah ada mempunyai anak-anak, tidak salah jika kita juga memberi duit raya kepada mereka….inilah yang patik katakan “Memberi dan Merasa”.
Jika patik tidak post apa-apa sepanjang weekend ni, faham faham saje la. Kemungkinan patik sedang kekenyangan dari menikmati juadah-juadah yang sedap-sedap tu.
